I’m not a great fan of the Oh! My Goddes series. I understanding it was really sappy. However, the movie is among my well-liked anime films of all time. Instead of being cheerful all the time Beldandy and Keiechi’s relationship takes a tragic turn. Heaven is in chaos and they have nowhere to turn to for encourage. And to top it off the Earth is at the brink of destruction by a forced evolution.
The graphics are good and the sound is estimable. Also the scene « Beldandy vs Urd » is without a doubt the most artistic fight scene i’ve ever seen in any genre of anime or film. It was only between two characters and it had a fable and urgent feel that had me on the edge of my seat. Rent or seize this movie! You will delight in it.
This movie is easily one of the best anime movies ever. It has an appealing state, fluid-like animation, and an respectable orchestral net performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic. Although it is very gripping and pleasing noteworthy stand-alone, viewers can wait on more if they come by some background information on Kosuke Fujishima’s work of the 3 goddesses and their earthly friends, since the movie doesn’t use grand time introducing the characters and their relationship.

This DVD is practially a re-release of the dilapidated edition with the addition of Japanese DTS 5.1, which is only half bitrate. The video transfer is exactly the same as the passe one. The veteran video is anamorphic and suitable to launch with, but you do gain the same brief hard sub in two places in the movie. All the extras are literally carried over from the used release, including the mini-goddess episode. Unusual is the inclusion of the TV and theatrical teasers and trailers and an art gallary. There is no reversible artwork and the keepcase is white this time.
If you are die-hard AMG fan or don’t already have this movie, salvage this DTS release by all means. If you have the obsolete release, you really don’t net great by upgrading.
