Congratulations to the three 6th year pupils who have represented the school in this competition: Cristina Rivas-Smits (6 NEA), Marta Canga Roza (6 ES) and Peter Sloan (6 ENA), who were all successful in the early rounds and proceeded to the quarter-finals.
Peter has now reached the Belgian final, and on Saturday, 24th April he will compete against 7 other young people from Belgium, hoping to win a place in the international final, organized by the BBC and the English Speaking Union, in London in May. We are proud of what all three have achieved, and wish Peter the best of luck for the final.
The teachers responsible for this school’s participation are Linda O’Hara and Geoff Gornall, and anyone who will be in 6th or 7th year next year and might be interested in competing should contact one of them.

Félicitations  aux trois élèves de 6è année qui ont représenté l’école dans cette compétition: Cristina Rivas-Smits (6 NEA), Marta Canga Roza (6 ES) et Peter Sloan (6 ENA), qui ont tous été brillants lors des éliminatoires, et se sont hissés en quart de finale du tournoi.
Peter s’est à présent qualifié pour la finale belge, et ce samedi 24 avril, il affrontera sept autres jeunes compétiteurs de Belgique, espérant se qualifier pour la finale internationale, organisée par la BBC et l’ « English Speaking Union », qui se déroulera en mai à Londres.
Nous sommes fiers des résultats obtenus par ces trois élèves, et souhaitons bien entendu le meilleur pour Peter lors de la finale.
Les professeurs responsables pour notre école sont Linda O’Hara et Geoff Gornall; tout élève qui sera en 6è ou 7è année l’an prochain et souhaite prendre part à cette compétition est prié de prendre contact avec l’un d’eux.
